The moment of truth - Congratz to Faisal Admar who is the new Champion Blog Idol 2010. It has been an exciting race right from the very start and Bananaz took it as a F1 race, steering nervously merely hoping not to crash out in the first initial rounds so as  to have the chance and thrill of racing. Must admit Faisal Admar is too tough to fight with 129 votes vz 105 votes. Bananaz would again like to thank those Voters who supported in all the earlier and final round with a big "Thank You". It was much more tedious than the previous rounds with lots of blood sweat and tears involved sending countless emails and smses with follow ups phone calls. It was a great experience to learn and know almost all of them bloggers, friends, colleagues and relatives on the same repeated message and can  actually see the good bad and ugly. Thankz my lucky stars to have few blogger friends who added strength to help out.

Bananaz would like to acknowledge with gratitude a few very outstanding blogger friends for their strong continuous support and truly appreciate their effort and contribution. My deepest and heartfelt appreciation goes to the first blogger who is no stranger to all, the past Blog Idol 2009 Champion [foongpc] for all his invaluable tips and suggestions when Bananaz was lost just as Round 1 kicked off who shared his kind advice. Second also another blogger just like foongpc whom I have never met before, is CH Voon who did a hard sell not only once but twice for Bananaz in his blog with full of concern who sent a full checklist on the things needed to do. Lastly the third blogger friend Peteformation who forwarded my emails and spent countless hours posting in his foodie list of followers clicking away with messages - vote "You're The Voice". Wowie I am really very touched, last but not the least my special thankz to the person who was instrumental and responsible for organising this event the one and only Bluedreamer for steering the helm pretty well despite his tight schedules in between studies and interruption caused by typhoon Basyang..Also not forgetting my sincere thankz to all the other ten participants who gave their best especially the Top #3 Blog Idol, Mariuca who occasionally showed up with her  kind words to give Faisal & Bananaz some motivation..XieXie.

இ Paul the Oracle Octopus predicts Blog Idol 2010?

Just a little bit too late as at July 12, 2010, Paul retired from making predictions. Paul's owners stated "He won't give any more oracle predictions - either in football, or in politics, lifestyle, economy or even Blog Idol 2010. Paul the Oracle Octopus goes eight for eight during the World Cup who finally ended its career. Eight is enough. Honestly Paul would not want to be involved in the 'DUEL' or anything near to Crouching Tiger {Faisal} or Hidden Dragon {Bananaz}. Moreover Paul hates eating bananaz, prefer his favorite mussels. Another 7 more gruesome days with 6 night mares to the Final Countdown before facing the Moment of Truth..will it be joy & jubilation or tears..? 

Dear readers hope you are not bored to death with the Idol thingy, Bananaz would apologise and sorry for posting them constantly. Just bear with it for the time being until the Final Countdown on 21 July 2010. This song has a very meaningful lyric and carries a great message about CHANGE.. "This time, we know we all stand together. With the power to be powerful. Believing, we can make it better".. Shall take this golden opportunity to sincerely thank all my voters and of course not forgetting those who voted in all the earlier 8 Rounds as well. Sorry Mariuca you 'fought' pretty well, great choice of songs you've got. Moment of Truth ~ The Clash of Tiger vz Dragon is about to begin pretty soon and guess who shall be the Blog Idol 2010, Crouching Faisal or Hidden Bananaz? All the best to you Faisal, Good Luck!. Once again this can never ever have happened for Bananaz to go this far without the strong continuous support of fellow bloggers, friends and relatives for upholding my votes. இ Salute to Nine Contestants of Blog Idol 2010

Whoa! We are coming to the Semi-final of Blog Idol 2010 with the remaining top three contestants at the podium with only two more laps to go. Would seize this opportunity to thank Bluedreamer once again and with salutation I take my hat off to the nine retired Blog Idol contestants for a good and exciting competitive race. You guys are great and sporting who successfully kept this poor 'NKOTB' ~ New Kid On The Blog, a newbie green Bananaz biting off all finger and toe nails coupled with the heart missing a beat while looking at the votes count. Bananaz has been trailing behind safely all these while keeping fingers crossed and P:U:S:H diligently "Pray Until Something Happens" hoping not to crash out so as to be able to participate in all the races until the checkered flag which most F1 drivers would always look forward to. It would be awesome to feel the moment when passing the finishing line with the waving checkered flag. This would not have happened for Bananaz to reach this far without the continuous strong support of my VOTERS. Sorry 1001 apologies I am unable to name all of them here. I hereby wish to say this two words from the bottom of my heart which I truly and sincerely appreciate your support very much ~ "T:H:A:N:K Y:O:U".

இ Who ¿ Blog IDOL 2009?

Was just pondering what will a Blogger normally do first thing when lay fingers on the keyboard after booting up? As a routine I will download my emails and later return to read them and next thing would click on  a few blogspot to allow them time to upload. I wonder you guys do check and click at the sidebars of any blogs that you visited? Must admit I seldom do that and kept seeing this "Trophy" thingy with the words ~ "Blog Idol 2009" at the sidebar of 'Panda' aka foongpc but did not ask about it until I participated in Blog Idol 2010 then only I found out what this Blog Idol is all about. Guess who's Blog Idol 2009? Some may have known already. (Btw 'the panda' has agreed to pay me handsomely and this gonna cost him an arm and leg..haha).

Answer : None of the above! Other than showing his hairy legs and nothing else so how to see his 6 pack abs and moreover he cannot swim, will sink like a rock. OK very simple he only need to submit the best songs according to the category required and not to be eliminated in each week's competition until the final round to emerge the Champion. Not sure all are aware of the Blog Idol 2010 Season 3 contest which started in May 2010. The contest started off with a minor hiccup glad but it has been fixed. Salute to Bluedreamer27 for being instrumental in getting the contest going. C'mon Bloggers let's have great fun reminiscing down memory lane and travel back in time into those golden days. Blog Idol 2010 certainly need your fullest support to *VOTE* for your TOP 3 Songs every week until the Grand Finale in Round 10 ending in July 2010.

Here is some great tips from the former 2009 Blog Idol Champion f(Ö_Ö)ng ~ "A piece of advice from (ahem, ahem) to future contestants (sorry current contestants too late to take this advice! LOL!) - Choose your songs carefully and make sure the songs are songs that majority like! No point choosing a song that you like but no other people like! Makes sense? Good! So far Bananaz had bitten all ten finger nails flat and attempting to bite toe nails right now haha. Thankz to all voters for liking my songs and truly appreciate your continuous support. CH Voon even went all out did a 'hard sell' on his blog. Anyway Bananaz shall continue to pray hard up to the 10th Round. (btw this is 'voted' as one of the best picture of the year becoz of the intensity of the dog's face that shows more sincerity than most people!)

Phew! What a relief! Bananaz pulled through the first round of Blog Idol 2010 and that would not have been possible without your strong supporting votes. It was a nail biting experience looking at the vote count during the last 2 days of polling. From the bottom of my heart truly appreciate it very much and would be looking forward for your continuous support again and hope you like the next choice of song selected for Round 2.
