What comes to mind ~ "I wanna go *open knife*" a direct word for word translation from Chinese? If you are Chinese probably will understand the message what *open knife* 開刀 *kāi dāo (pinyin) is all about, the same equivalent to 'go under the knife'. We can hardly hear this formal version in our daily conversation which is 動手術 dòng shǒushù (pinyin) meaning 'under going surgery' except over the news in TV or newspapers. Just curious any clue why Chinese say 開刀 kāi dāo *open knife*? Bananaz would like to express his sincere thanks for all the well wishes for a speedy recovery. With the current blurry vision, words gone awry...
